Worship Support
As in most churches, UCUMC relies on teams of volunteers with interest and expertise in making the worship experience as meaningful as possible. Assistance in these areas is always welcome:
- Greeters – warmly welcome visitors and members to Sunday services; provide information and services at the Office window before and after worship. Contact: Judy Sockman
- Ushers – direct attendees to available worship service seating and room locations; direct communion procession; pass offering plates. Contact: Ed Dickson
- Altar Guild – plan and provide seasonal decorating, communion assistance and altar displays. Contact: Grace Chalker
- Liturgists – read the Sunday Scripture lesson to the congregation during worship. Contact: Judy Sockman
- AudSquad – operate the church's various sound systems during services, presentations, ceremonies and concerts; provide video recording & Internet streaming of worship and other services; make DVD and CD copies of recorded services. Contact: Roger Schulte or Heather Howard
